Account Executive – Baltimore, MD

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 POSITION TITLE:  Account Executive         DEPARTMENT: Sales   LOCATION: ERC of MD, Baltimore, MD

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 

POSITION REPORTS TO:  Vice President of Sales & Marketing

POSITION SUPERVISED: None

POSITION PURPOSE 

The Account Executive is responsible for generating profitable revenue growth in the solid waste and portable toilet business line by utilizing a consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will be able to sell solid waste transportation, disposal and portable toilet services to a broad mix of customer segments including industrial, construction, health care, and commercial customers. The AE will generate revenue through lead generation, up-selling in an existing book of business, and by developing relationship with key decision makers and stakeholders of prospects and clients. A successful AE will need to gather complex data, disseminate information internally and or with 3rd party vendors, formulate a logistics plan for managing waste, and can complete necessary paperwork such as waste profiles, credit applications, and proposals. The AE will work closely with Operations and the VP of Sales & Marketing to develop a business development plan, monitor competitor and industry trends, and to optimize customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 1)        To provide sales, marketing and customer service to prospective clients and existing customers.

a)        Achieve budgeted goals

b)       Generate leads through referrals, cold calling, and other business development activities

c)        Upsell and service clients in assigned book of business

d)       Prepare proposals and execute service agreements.

e)        Document activities in CRM system/sales reports

2)        Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Customers.

a)        has intimate knowledge of the customer’s needs

b)       Has empathy for the customer situation

c)        Is able to communicate clearly, both written and verbal.

d)       Talks in a way the customer can understand

e)        Is willing to build a long-term relationship with the customer.

4)        Capturing of accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)

5)        Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:   College Education or Experience Equivalent preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Sales and Customer Service

Knowledge of related computer applications such as MS Office and CRM

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  Three to five years of previous outside sales required, preferably in solid waste or environmental services, and a college degree. Documented record of revenue growth and achieving budgeted sales quotas.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

 FINGER DEXTERITY:  Using primarily just the finger to make small movements such as typing,

picking up small objects, or pinching finger together.

TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly

AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary

information.

REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly require using the wrist, hands, and /or

fingers.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES:  Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents

or products, or operate machinery.

LIFTING REQUIREMENTS:  10 – 20 LBS

WORKING CONDITIONS

 Some Travel required mainly within geographic territory with minimal overnights. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office)

Environmental Services includes transportation and disposal of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes, bulk liquids and sludges, containerized wastes, and onsite labor services. The ideal candidate will be able to sell environmental services to a broad mix of customer segments including industrial, construction, energy, and commercial customers. The AE will generate revenue through lead generation, upselling in an existing book of business, and by developing relationship with key decision makers and stakeholders of prospects and clients. A successful AE will need to gather complex data, disseminate information internally and or with 3rd party vendors, formulate a logistics plan for managing waste, and can complete necessary paperwork such as waste profiles, credit applications, and proposals. Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative

Location: Lancaster, PA

Reporting to VP of Sales & Marketing

Job Description:
Responsible for customer interaction, inbound sales calls, sales support, and administrative tasks. Daily responsibilities include supporting the outside sales team by creating proposals, managing contract paperwork, receiving credit application or credit card processing, supporting billing and collections, and acting as a liaison between ERC operations staff and the customer. Also responsible for upselling within the ERC customer base.

1. To provide sales, marketing and customer service to existing and new customers.

  • Prepare quotes and work orders for new and existing customers.
  • Answer customer inquiries.
  • Track leads and negotiate pricing.
  • Serve as Liaison between the outside sales and operations.
  • Prepare reports as needed to track leads, sales activity, and sales results

2. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Customers.

  • a) Has intimate knowledge and or ability to uncover customer’s needs
  • Has empathy for the customer situation
